We're in the middle of a heat wave, so of course the air conditioning picks today to crap out. I spent most of the day downstairs in the family room with the fan on me.
I did manage to finish piecing a quilt for my friend Lena's baby. I also baked bread. But I stayed downstairs while it baked.
I wonder how many days it will take to get the repair people here. I imagine everybody else's AC units are a little taxed too, so they'll be busy.
Maybe it's not a bad thing to get used to the heat and just use a fan to cool off. Saves energy. Before air conditioning, people were just less active when it got hot. It's just another way we've lost touch with the natural cycle of things.
