A day in the garden, a night at the baseball park

Margaret and Anna Marie got here this afternoon after I had done a little gardening and we had four free clubhouse tickets to the Tourists tonight, so we went. The Tourists won, so it was a good time. It's always fun, but it's even more fun then they won.

Margaret loved the jewelry I'm making, so we went bead shopping. She and Anna Marie picked out their beads and I made them necklaces. I made earrings for Margaret too. I'm pretty impressed with how good my jewelry is looking. It can be an expensive hobby, though, so I probably will have to sell some.

Life o' Mike is plaid. I love it. I don't know if Janet has an idea how much he loved plaid. When he was a teenager, we rented a house in which one of the bedroom had a plaid carpet. Mike loved it. He picked that room as his own and made jokes about how he was going to dress in plaid and fade into the floor.

"You'll never find me when you want me to do something," he told me.

I hope to get back onto the site at some point tomorrow and start writing captions for the photos.

It was so wondrful to be with Shannon and KJ andMatt and the kids the last couple of days. Matt's in the Army and was in the Middle East when Mike died. He was pretty devastated that he didn't get to see him one more time. The made some mischief together.
