Life o' Mike is up!

Janet and I spent a couple hours today getting lifeomike.org set up. It's pretty bare-bones right now, but it's up. Its stated mission is to gather stories of people who died because they didn't have health insurance.

I'm sure most of them touched as many lives as Mike did.

I was up until 3 in the morning with Matt, Shannon's husband. He was deployed to Qatar when Mike died, and he was devastated that he couldn't get back before Mike died. We talked for two hours about how Mike changed Matt's life.

Matt isn't the most socially adept person, but he's kind and he's a good husband and father. Mike accepted Matt as the kind-hearted person he is, and Matt loved that, Mike would tell Matt he was an idiot, and Matt woul laugh, because he ususlly had done something idiotic to deserve it

We both got a little misty as we talked about what an amazing man Mike was. I hope we get to hear more stories of renmarkable people.
