So much like her mother

I can't believe how much Shannon looks like her mother. I downloaded the pictures from her graduation today and it just amazes me.

I miss my sister and our sibling rivalry, which became more of an ongoing joke than a reality as we got older. It always amused Shannon and Mike.

Shannon and I have leaned on each other for support lately. She lost her mother and her favorite cousin and I lost my sister and my son. But I get to see her be the woman my sister always hoped she would be. She's a nurse now. She saw it through with two small children and her husband deployed to the Middle East. I don't know how she did it -- I think she probably did it on very little sleep, but she graduated with honors.
